INTERDICTED FEMALE OFFICER SLAPPED WITH THREE CHARGES INCLUDING INFLICTING GREVIOUS BODILY HARM

One female police officer who is presently interdicted has been slapped with three charges following a recent arrest.

She is Police Constable Karina Brea who is charged with Inflicting Grievous Bodily Harm, Possession of Proceeds of Criminal Conduct and Person not Registered as a Medical Practitioner.

The confirmation came in a media statement by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force which said Brea was officially charged on Wednesday.

“Charges laid against Police Constable Karina Brea stemmed from a report made of a medical procedure that was performed and a search made at her residence. Investigations into allegations made resulted in subsequent charges,” the statement read.

Speaking on the development, Commissioner of Police Mark Collins said his force will investigate all allegations made to them.

He also reinstated his position that his officers must comply with the RVIPF’s Code of Conduct and if found to have committed a criminal offence they will be prosecuted.
