The VIP created history on Sunday by electing for the first time in its history two females to lead the executive level of the party with Sharia De Castro being elected President and Zoe Walcott Vice-President.
Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley said he is happy with the candidates that were selected to represent the VIP party both in the executive and in the upcoming elections.
De Castro thanked the VIP Congress for electing her as president and spoke about the gender inclusivity of the party.
Meanwhile, Ms. Walcott spoke about the continuity plan of the party and her belief that it will come out victorious in the upcoming election.
