Farmers, fishers and entrepreneurs who would not be able to occupy a booth at the Road Town Market Square full time, for reason of cost or otherwise, will have the opportunity to rent the booths periodically for about $25 now that the facility is in operation.
Minister for Communications and Works Hon. Kye Rhymer made this reveal during an opening ceremony at the facility on Monday.
The vendors who do occupy the facility full time have been allowed to do so for a monthly cost of $300 or $450. This, only after meeting a criterion established by the relevant authority to determine eligibility.
Additionally, Rhymer reminded that a special booth has been reserved for use only by persons from the sister islands seeking to do business in Road Town.
The Minister says he trusts that activity conducted within the Market Square will be profitable and thriving.
