72-year-old Ulric Pilgrim has been charged for the offence of causing death by careless driving.
The Carrot Bay resident’s charge stems from a 2022 vehicular accident that claimed the life of Belmont Estate resident Henrique David Dos Santos.
He was granted bailed in the sum of $25,000 with one surety for his upcoming appearance at the Magistrate’s Court which is scheduled on March 23rd, 2023.
According to a report by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Dos Santos “a native of South Africa, was on a scooter headed toward Road Town when he collided with a vehicle entering the highway from Havers.”
