The British Virgin Islands Women’s Softball National team enjoyed a landslide victory against Jamaica in their opening game of the 2023 Eastern Caribbean Amateur Softball Confederation Championship in St. John USVI.
Playing as the home team against Jamaica this evening at the St. John National Park, the BVI won via mercy rule in the 3rd inning 20 runs to Jamaica’s 5.
Captain Darier “Dee” Malone (#2) hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 2nd inning, clearing the bases to give the BVI a 4 run lead.
Next up, the BVI will be playing St. Maarten on Thursday March 2nd at 1:00 PM local time.
