The British Virgin Islands women’s national team suffered their third defeat in the 2023 Eastern Caribbean Amateur Softball Confederation Championship against the unbeaten Curaçao team on Saturday.
Playing in St. John USVI at the National Park, the BVI fell to Curaçao 12-0 in the fourth inning via mercy rule in a must win game.Curaçao which remains unbeaten with 4 wins have now advanced to the finals where they will play host USVI.
The BVI now has two wins and three losses in the tournament after winning their opening games against Jamaica and St. Maarten 20-5 and 11-1 respectively.
The BVI team will face off against either Aruba for third place on Sunday at 1 p.m.More details to come.
