Ron Potter is set to be appointed as the next chairman of the BVI Health Services Authority Board (BVIHSA).
This was confirmed in the Order Paper for today’s sitting of the House of Assembly which revealed that the appointment will span a period of three years from the March 15, 2023 commencement date.
Potter’s selection to be appointed comes from a joint collaborative effort of the Minister of Health and Social Development Hon. Marlon Penn who in consultation with the Opposition Leader Hon. Julia Fraser recommended him to the Cabinet of the Virgin Islands.
Potter who is a Director of the BVIHSA will replace current Chairman Moleto Smith Jr, who took up the mantle back in July 2021.
It is expected that his appointment will be made official in the House of Assembly either today Thursday March 9 or tomorrow Friday March 10.
