While acknowledging the “very poor condition” of roads in the 7th and 8th Districts, Premier Dr the Honourable Natalio Wheatley revealed his government’s intention to sign contracts for road works in the coming weeks.
This, with just about 5 weeks left before the April 24 General Election.
The timeline for execution of roadworks, he noted, is dependent on the completion of sewerage works in the area.
He said that rather than simply patching up existing roads, it is intended that completely new infrastructure be established and updated to better meet the needs of commuters and utility providers.
