AN ESTIMATED 70 BOATS AND 1000 SAILORS COMPETING AT 50TH BVI SPRING REGATTA

Approximately 70 boats representing an estimated 13 countries across the world are presently competing at the 50th BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival.

The festival which officially commenced on Monday, March 27 at Nanny Cay, Tortola is said to have nearly 1000 sailors taking part in the festival.

This is according to the Director of the BVI Spring Regatta Judy Petz who made the disclosure during an interview with 284Media on Friday.

Petz also outlined the schedule of events expected to take place over the next few days.

The director also spoke on the significance of the event in its 50th year and what it means to the organisation.

Petz also gave some insight on the feedback received so far by many of the sailors.
