Broadway Artist Christpher Faison recently spent some time nurturing the talents of the territory’s young singers, actors and dancers during a visit to Tortola.
Faison, who made his Broadway debut in “My Fair Lady”, said that he was completely blown away by the talent of young Virgin Islanders.
His visit to the territory, as he explained in a special interview with 284 Media, was with the purpose of enhancing engagement between artists with the hopes of achieving a collaborative project.
His masterclasses engaged students from the Elmore Stoutt High School, Bregado Flax Educational Centre, Cibony School of Excellence, the HLSCC Drama Department, YEP, Killi Killi and Firebird Performing Arts.
These sessions provided a unique opportunity for him to provide personalised advice and guidance to the students.
Faison said that his experiences with the youth have been beautiful, and he encourages any Virgin Islanders who aspire for a career in the arts to dream big and keep working towards their goals.
