PROJECT PROM! D5 COMMITTEE MAKING PROM DREAMS A REALITY

The Committee to Keep District 5 Alive is on a mission to make the ideal prom experience a reality for graduates across the territory through the “Project PROM” initiative.


284 Media’s Jhaka Wooding caught up with Representative for District 5, Minister for Communications and Works the Honourable Kye Rymer on this effort.

He explained that it is the aim of the committee to help students have a positive prom experience despite any financial restraints that may be facing.


Upwards of 80 dresses had already been collected at the time of the interview with the minister, along with suits, ties and much more.


The minister said he was immensely grateful to the community for coming onboard with the initiative, and the many business owners who have donated their services.


He explained that there has been great consideration to ensure that the process of receiving this assistance is discrete and private.
