NSC ORDERS INCREASED SECURITY FOLLOWING ARMED ROBBERY

Following the armed robbery at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park on Saturday Afternoon, the members of the National Security Council (NSC) were briefed by the Commissioner of Police on the incident.

To bolster public safety and provide reassurance to the community, the NSC has ordered an increased security presence at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park and other events taking place throughout the Territory over the weekend. This heightened security presence aims to ensure the safety and well-being of residents and visitors alike.

In a brief statement, the NSC assured the public that every possible effort will be made to bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice. 

The NSC is urgently appealing to anyone who possesses information regarding the individuals involved in the armed robbery to come forward and assist the investigation. 

This follows a similar appeal from the police.

Law enforcement authorities are actively investigating the incident.
