As Virgin Islands Day 2023 approaches, Premier Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley delivered brief remarks, emphasizing the significance of the event and urging the community to come together in unity.
He hailed this occasion as a moment to commemorate the Virgin Islands’ resilience in safeguarding its constitution and overcoming unprecedented challenges in the past year.
During his address, Premier Wheatley called for a collective effort to abandon political divisions and other forms of segregation within the community.
He stressed the importance of using Virgin Islands Day as an opportunity to reflect on the accomplishments and triumphs of Virgin Islands society as a whole.
Premier Wheatley shared that he would not be able to attend this year’s Virgin Islands Day activities due to prearranged travel obligations. Nevertheless, he extended a heartfelt invitation to the public, urging them to participate in large numbers and show their support for the events.
