Two-time Commonwealth Games champion Kyron McMaster picked up a silver medal in the men’s 400-meter hurdles at the 2023 Diamond League in Stockholm, Sweden on Sunday.
Running out of lane seven in tough conditions on a wet track, McMaster clocked a time of 48.94 seconds, behind the world number 1 ranked Karsten Warholm of Norway who ran an impressive 47.57 seconds.
The race was obstructed by environmentalist protesters who stood in lanes six, four and one, near to the finish line.
Rasmus Mägi of Estonia placed third with a time of 49.09 seconds.
