Rising basketball star D’Moi Hodge pulled off another good performance for the Los Angeles Lakers, tallying a season-high 16 points to help his side to an 18-point victory.

Playing in the NBA 2K24 Summer League on Sunday, Hodge’s Lakers defeated the Charlotte Hornets 93-75 at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Hodge played just over 25 minutes and in addition to his 16 points, he collected 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks.

His teammates Colin Castleton had a game high 21 points and 14 rebounds; Jalen Hood-Schifino 15 points with 5 assists; Maxwell Lewis 12 points off the bench; while Max Christie converted 11 points.

The Lakers enjoyed a strong start, but Charlotte evened things up just before half time after the two teams went back and forth, to turn it into a 1-point game at the break.

The second half was all Lakers, as they won the remaining two quarters by scores of 26-19 and 28-16, respectively, flipping the script and cruising their way to a comfortable 18-point victory thanks to an excellent defensive display.

The Lakers next game is on Wednesday, July 12, at 10:00 p.m. local time.
