MCMASTER WINS GOLD IN SLOVAKIA WITH 3RD FASTEST TIME OF 2023

400-meter hurdler Kyron McMaster set a new meet record after placing first with a seasons best time of 47.26 seconds at the 2023 P-T-S World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meeting in Slovakia today.

The time comfortably surpassed the previous meet record of 48.24 seconds and places Kyron third in the season’s top list.

David Kendziera placed second with a time of 48.95 and Danny Brandt took third place in 49.25 seconds.

According to a meet report by World Track, “McMaster initiated the race with an aggressive start, leading from the beginning ‘til the end. His dominant performance today marked the second-fastest time of his career.”

Kyron, a two-time Commonwealth Games champion, holds a NR and PB of 47.08 seconds which secured him a fourth place finish at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
