1 OF THE 2 VESSELS FROM THE EAST END DRUG BUST DESTROYED BY FIRE

Reports reaching our news station indicate that one of the two vessels from Wednesday’s drug bust in East End was destroyed by fire at the Road Town Police Station in the wee hours of this morning.

The bust resulted in the arrest of three locals, two males and a female, and the seizure of a large quantity of drugs and one firearm.

Commissioner of Police Mark Collins during a press conference on Thursday revealed that the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force was still investigating the origin of the vessels which at the time were undetermined.

With one of the vessels now destroyed, it is unclear how the incident will impact the police’s ongoing investigations.

The execution of search warrants by the police has so far resulted in the discovery of another firearm and a large quantity of ammunition.

More to come as this story develops.
