D’Moi Hodge was presented with the “Key to the Bay” on Sunday, July 23, making him the first person ever to be bestowed with such an honour.
Hodge was presented with the key by Second District Representative Hon. Melvin “Mitch” Turnbull during a church service at the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church.
D’Moi thanked all who came out to the service and reflected on his childhood memories of attending the Cane Garden Bay Baptist Church.
Hodge’s mentor Halstead “JR” Chiverton encouraged the community to continue supporting D’Moi as his journey is just getting started.
Trainer Tyshawn Patterson vowed to continue pushing D’Moi to strive for excellence and he spoke on the impact that D’Moi’s success will have on the younger generation of the territory.
