The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) has announced the appointment of their new Human Resources Manager, Dierdra Wheatley-Peters, PhD, who is set to play a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s talent management strategy.
Mrs. Wheatley-Peters’ recruitment to lead the Human Resources Department at BVIHSA follows extensive experience in the public service, having worked at esteemed institutions such as the Ministry of Health & Social Development (Housing Recovery), Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour, Department of Human Resources, and the H. Lavity Stout Community College.
With a wealth of over 15 years of experience in various aspects of Human Resources services, Mrs. Wheatley-Peters brings a depth of knowledge and innovative ideas to her new role. Her previous leadership position as Human Resources Manager at the Ministry of Health and Social Development allowed her to spearhead several staff improvement initiatives, showcasing her dedication to fostering a supportive and motivated workforce.
As the new Human Resources Manager at BVIHSA, Mrs. Wheatley-Peters assumes a critical position, responsible for overseeing all HR functions. This includes recruitment and staffing, training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, as well as ensuring compliance with labour laws.
