The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has charged a fourth person in its continued inquiries into the cocaine drug bust in East End last Wednesday, that resulted in the seizure of drugs, two boats, firearms and ammunition.
He is Rico Penn of Fat Hogs Bay, Tortola who has been charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply to another, unlawful possession of a controlled drug, keeping an unlicenced firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
Penn is charged along with 38-year-old Dion Leslie McMaster, 40-year-old Zuri Reid and 28-year-old Ruth Gonzalez Tellez.
The police also confirmed that an additional three persons were arrested and released pending further investigations.
The RVIPF also expressed its appreciation for the support and continued cooperation in this investigation which they described as dynamic, as investigators continue to pursue several lines of inquiry.
“The support of law-abiding members of the community is reassuring and sustains an unwavering determination to continue efforts to keep serving and protecting the Virgin Islands,” the RVIPF stated.
“The efforts to bring offenders to justice continue and will not be derailed by those who hope to escape detection and prosecution,” the police added.
