British Virgin Islanders Kennard Dawson, Demoi Hodge and Reyondre Mercer have assisted the Great Britain Baseball Team into the finals of the Under 23 Baseball European Championship.
Playing in the semi-finals on Friday in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, Great Britain defeated Germany 6-5 in the bottom of the 7th inning.
Dawson had 3 at bats and 1 run while Mercer had three at bats and 1 hit.
The victory also saw Great Britain securing a spot in the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation Under 23 Baseball World Cup in China at the Shaoxing Baseball Softball Sports Culture Center.
Great Britain will face the Netherlands in finals on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. BVI time.
