The trio of Kennard Dawson, Demoi Hodge and Reyondre Mercer created history for the Great Britain Baseball Team and the British Virgin Islands, after finishing second in the 2023 Under 23 Baseball European Championship in Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
Playing in the final on Saturday, August 12, Great Britain fell to the Netherlands 23-5 in the bottom of the 5th inning.
Despite losing against the Netherlands, Great Britain secured a spot in the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation Under 23 Baseball World Cup in China.
That tournament will be played at the Shaoxing Baseball Softball Sports Culture Center.
