KYRON MCMASTER CLAIMS HIS FIRST WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS MEDAL – SILVER IN 400M-HURDLES

Kyron McMaster collected his first ever World Championships medal on Wednesday after placing second in the final of the Men’s 400-Metre-Hurdles at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Running out of lane 8, McMaster was clocked as having the fastest split time of the first 100-metres with 11.11 seconds and he used that momentum to end the race strongly to claim the silver medal in a time of 47.34 seconds.

The race was won by Norway’s Karsten Warholm who was the event favourite ahead of the championships. Warholm claimed the gold in a blistering time of 46.89 seconds while American Rai Benjamin took the bronze after clocking 47.56 seconds.
