After an impressive display at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, 17-year-old Adaejah Hodge has vowed to return much stronger and harder.
Adaejah left it all on the track in the semi-finals of the Women’s 200-metre event where she finished 7th in heat 2 with a time of 22.96 seconds on Thursday.
She was ranked 20th of the 24 athletes who made the semis.
Following the race, she spoke to the media on her overall experience at the championships.
Hodge, who is one of the fastest junior athletes in the world this year, spoke on the training she endured to prepare for the World Championships.
When it comes to representing the British Virgin Islands, Adaejah spoke on what it means to her to rep the territory on the world stage.
The high schooler also revealed some of her athletic goals for the near future, one of which includes medalling at the Olympic Games.
