The Governor’s Office has established a fund of $30,000 to support youth empowerment projects in the BVI and is inviting applications from organizations or partnerships across organizations for projects with a maximum value of $10,000.
This grant program is open exclusively to registered or established BVI Non-Profit Organizations. Its primary objective is to financially support activities and projects that contribute to the economic development of the Territory while empowering local youths aged 13 to 21.
Projects should aim to encourage these youths to explore job opportunities in various sectors such as tourism, environment, agriculture, sports, and other areas relevant to the BVI’s sustainable development, economic growth, and overall well-being.
According to a recent press release outlining the application process, these projects will “contribute to the achievement of the BVI Sustainable Development Plan’s goal: Empowering Islanders for a Sustainable Future in an Inclusive Vibrant Society, Enabling Fulfilling Lives.”
Interested parties can obtain an application pack by emailing Govoffice.Tortola@fcdo.gov.uk.
The completed application form must be submitted electronically by October 23, 2023.
Applications will be reviewed by November 17, 2023, and successful applicants will be notified by December 1, 2023.
All projects must be completed by March 1, 2024.
