The government’s ghut clearing initiative under the Rated Programme has been credited for the quick water runoff observed within District 6 on Wednesday.
District Representative Hon. Myron Walwyn acknowledged the programme during an interview with 284 Media’s Ronn Grant as he provided an update on the state of affairs within his district following the effects from Tropical Storm Philippe.
Walwyn said had that initiative not taken place prior to Tropical Storm Philippe, flooding would have been severe within District 6.
