BVI TO PARTICIPATE IN PAN AM GAMES OPENING CEREMONY TODAY

BVI athlete Deya Erickson has landed in Santiago, Chile, ahead of the opening ceremony for the 2023 Pan American Games which is scheduled for Friday, October 20.

Erickson is the flag bearer for the BVI and she is set to compete in the 100-meter hurdles on October 31.

284 Media’s Kamal Haynes spoke with Erickson at the Athletes Village ahead of the highly anticipated ceremony.

She said she is excited ahead of the big moment.

Erickson also spoke about how her preparations have been ahead of the Games.

Haynes also caught with BVI’s Chef De Mission Mark Chapman who highlighted the significance of the Pan American Games.

The other BVI athletes include Eldred Henry (shot put), Djimon Gumbs (discus throw), and Thad Lettsome (men’s ICLA 7 laser).
