Recently, the territory joined the Caribbean Community in observance of Caribbean Statistics Day. The observation aims to highlight the importance of statistics in informing the development strategies of the countries of CARICOM.
The day also acknowledges the vital role played by statistical offices and other data collection agencies.
This year’s observance carries the theme “One Voice, One CARICOM: Everyone Counts”.
Director of the Central Statistics Office Raymond Phillips recently delivered a statement on the observation and the imperative role of statistics in society.
The director also spoke on the ongoing National Census, a critical statistical tool.
