The Honourable Marlon Penn, Representative for the 8th District, has raised concerns about whether Premier Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley is disconnected from the daily struggles of many Virgin Islanders who are finding it difficult to make ends meet in the current economy. Penn voiced these concerns at a recent press conference held by His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition.
Penn emphasized that a clear sign of an economy in distress is when the business community can no longer aid in addressing social issues because they themselves are struggling to stay afloat.
Highlighting the need for financial support for local businesses, Penn stated that the opposition continues to advocate for the reinstatement of the National Business Bureau.
