BODY OF MALE IDENTIFIED AS ROTARIAN JAMES HARRIS; TRIBUTES POUR IN FROM ROTARIANS AND WIDER BVI

The body of the male found Lower Estate in a parked vehicle on Tuesday November 21st, just after 11am has been identified as Rotarian James Harris.

In addition to being a Stalwart Rotarian, Harris was employed at BDO at the time of his passing.

Tributes have since begun to pour in from the wider Virgin Islands speaking to Harris and his love for service. In an official statement, the Rotary Club of Central Tortola stated, “It is with heavy hearts that we, the members of the Rotary Club of Central Tortola, extend our deepest condolences to the family of Rotarian James on the passing of our esteemed fellow Rotarian and friend. The news of his untimely departure has left us all in profound sorrow. James was a cherished member of our Rotary family, and his dedication, kindness, and unwavering commitment to service have left an indelible mark on all of us. His passion for making a positive difference in our community was truly remarkable, and the impact of his selfless contributions will be felt for years to come.”

The statement continued, “We will always remember James for his infectious enthusiasm, warm spirit, and his ability to bring people together for the greater good. His absence will be deeply felt within our club, and his legacy will continue to inspire us in our ongoing humanitarian endeavors.”

Speaking to his legacy as a Rotarian, the statement further, “As we mourn the passing of our dear friend and fellow Rotarian, let us also celebrate the profound impact that James had on our lives and the lives of those in our community. His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. James will be deeply missed, and his memory will remain a guiding light for our Rotary Club of Central Tortola.”

To date, no report has been published by the Royal Virgin Islands Police force. It remains unclear the circumstances surrounding the death of Mr. Harris. No foul play is suspected.
