NEARLY $17M ALLOCATED TO RESTORE GOVT BUILDINGS IN 2024

The government has announced its plans to reduce its nearly $9 million in annual rent by completing repairs to the Ralph T O’Neal Administration Complex and other buildings housing government offices.

Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley during his recent 2024 Budget Address, said his government will continue the rehabilitation works to the respective offices as it aims to reduce its overall expenditure.

To this end, Premier Wheatley has allocated approximately $17 million in the 2024 budget for the restoration works of several government buildings.

Meanwhile, Minister for Communication and Works, Honourable Kye Rymer said he anticipates that the administration complex will be completed within the next two years.

He said his ministry will be working tirelessly to have the complex completed, which will see the return of several government offices to the complex.
