Impactful Endeavors in Focus
Over the years, Project 1BVI has addressed diverse community needs by aligning its efforts with Rotary’s Areas of Focus. Previous projects have ranged from painting benches and classrooms to tree planting, landscaping public spaces, home repairs, water cooler installations, garbage bin construction, and library refurbishments.
Highlights from Project 1BVI 2023
1. Food Drive to Benefit the Enis Adams School Pantry (28 October 2023): A food drive was organized by the Rotary Club to benefit Enis Adams Primary School’s pantry, aiming to contribute to the community’s well-being.
2. Water Cooler with Filtration System Installation (28 October 2023): A water cooler with a filtration system was installed at the Robinson O’Neal Memorial Primary School in Virgin Gorda to support access to clean and safe drinking water.
3. Beach Clean-Up (11 November 2023): In collaboration with Green VI, the Rotary Club of Road Town hosted a beach clean-up at Sprat Point, Beef Island, to preserve the natural beauty of BVI’s pristine beaches and promote environmental stewardship.
4. Painting of Benches at Centennial Park (11 November 2023): Members of the Rotary Club of Road Town, along with student volunteers, gathered to upgrade Rotary Centennial Park by painting benches in vibrant blue, providing a space for community relaxation.
5. Mini Health Fair (4 November 2023): Focused on youth well-being, the Rotary Club of Road Town hosted a mini health fair covering essential topics such as hygiene, healthy eating practices, and mental wellness, emphasizing the importance of instilling healthy practices early in life.
