The Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) has announced that construction of the Jost Van Dyke Multipurpose Educational Facility has reached substantial completion.
On Thursday, December 21st, 2023, the RDA held an official pre-handover site visit to the facility with Dr. Marcia Potter, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, and her team.
The visit was led by RDA CEO Anthony McMaster and other agency members. According to the RDA, the site visit was a success.
The RDA has scheduled the official handover ceremony of the completed facility for January 2024. Once opened, the school will provide improved education access and opportunities for Jost Van Dyke youth.
The facility will feature 13 classrooms, a science lab, a computer lab, a music room, a staff room, a learning resource centre, and a 75-thousand-gallon cistern capacity.
