Premier yacht charter companies The Moorings and Sunsail have announced major expansions to their British Virgin Islands operations to kick off 2024.
The sister companies, which run the largest charter fleet in the BVI, recently welcomed 78 new vessels worth $70 million. This includes 19 monohulls, 35 sailing catamarans, and 24 power catamarans.
The new arrivals bring The Moorings and Sunsail’s combined BVI fleet to 254 yachts, offering more inventory for peak Caribbean sailing season.
Alongside fleet growth, the companies have extensively hired new staff to meet rising demand. Their marina workforce now exceeds 300 employees as one of the BVI’s largest employers.
VP Josie Tucci said they heavily invested in revitalizing the marina and maximizing the guest experience through the new fleet. The aim is to provide an unparalleled charter experience for thousands of annual visitors.
