Some 2174 public officers have been paid their increments for the 2018-2019 work years.
This is according to Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley who made the disclosure in response to questions posed by the Deputy Speaker Honourable Stacey Mather during a House of Assembly sitting on Tuesday.
Premier Wheatley said the figures included both active and separated public officers.
The finance minister said 130 public officers remain to be paid their increments for the 2018-2019 period.
He also noted the increase of the public service from the period 2018 to the end of 2023. He said it increased to 2496 employees which represents an increase of 235 members of staff.
As it pertains to those public officers who are yet to receive their increments, Premier Wheatley noted that those outstanding increments will be paid by 2027.
Dr. Wheatley also revealed that increments for the 2022 work year have been processed for some 1346 public servants.
