ARRINGTON CHARGED WITH DRUG OFFENCES FOLLOWING POLICE OPERATION IN FISH BAY

One man is charged with two drug-related offences following a police operation on Wednesday, February 14, in Fish Bay.

He is 32-year-old Purcell Estate resident Royanson Arrington.

Arrington is charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Drugs after members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force intercepted a vehicle in Fish Bay and found “illegal drugs”.

While not confirming the exact type of drugs seized, the police in a subsequent statement noted that marijuana was among the category of drugs discovered.

The police attributed the success of the operation to valuable information that was provided, which led to the apprehension of several individuals and Arrington being charged.

Police said he remains in custody pending his first appearance at the Magistrate’s Court.
