TRINIDAD TAKES TOP PRIZE AT 1ST CARIBBEAN BAKING AWARDS – DOMINICA WINS 1ST PLACE

Dexter Cambridge of Trinidad and Tobago took home the pivotal prize of Best of Show at the 1st Annual Caribbean Baking Awards which was held on February 16 and February 17 in the British Virgin Islands.

Cambridge for his cake entitled “Queen of Bacchanal” – a dedication to Trinidadian soca artist Destra Garcia – also walked away with the grand prize of U.S $2000.

Meanwhile, Dominica took first place in the competition with a cake produced by Akim Ishmael that represented the culture and history of his islands.

Second place went to St. Vincent and the Grenadines which was represented by Jessica Bess while Antigua and Barbuda, represented by Timoy Titus, took third place.
