The Islanders Football Club extended their winning streak to four games, overwhelming Old Madrid FC last Sunday with a commanding 5-0 triumph at the Greenland Football Field.
The Islanders dominated with goals from Sheldon Harry (2nd, 45th +1), Oswort Holder (42nd), and Antonio Rodney (90th +1) with an own goal adding to the scoreline to further solidify their dominance.
Coach Fitzroy Daley commended the team for their performance, expressing congratulations and acknowledging their good play. Despite recognizing areas for improvement, especially early in the game, Daley highlighted that the team’s goals helped settle them down. In the league clash also on Sunday, Sugar Boys FC, currently in fourth place with 17 points, faced off against Panthers FC in a match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Loic Simon put the Panthers ahead just before halftime, and Sugar Boys Captain Derol Redhead levelled the game in the 60th minute.
