ESHS EXTENDS REMOTE LEARNING TO THURSDAY

Efforts to restore normalcy at the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) following Tuesday’s flash flooding have encountered setbacks, prompting the extension of remote learning for students to Thursday, May 9.

The decision, confirmed by the school’s administration in a statement to parents on Wednesday, underscores ongoing challenges in completing cleanup operations in the aftermath of the flooding.

In their statement, the administration team at ESHS acknowledged the ongoing cleanup efforts but lamented their inability to complete the process as planned. Consequently, remote learning will continue for students on Thursday, allowing authorities additional time to address the lingering effects of the flooding on campus.

“Please be informed that we have started to clean up our affected spaces. Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the process,” the administration team conveyed in their statement.

Parents were reassured that progress updates regarding the resumption of face-to-face sessions will be provided promptly as circumstances evolve.
