BVI TO HONOR ATHLETES, AND CULTURE AT AIRPORT

Premier Dr. the Hon. Natalio Wheatley has announced plans to showcase the British Virgin Islands’ athletes, culture, and tourism product prominently at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport.

Wheatley said the goal is to erect images and displays honoring the Territory’s sporting heroes and highlighting various aspects of BVI culture throughout the airport terminal.

Junior Minister for Tourism and Culture Hon. Luce Hodge-Smith is expected to work closely with airport officials to bring this cultural transformation to life.

The initiative takes on added significance as the BVI prepares for the 70th Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival celebrations later this year. Wheatley envisions travelers being immersed in the Territory’s rich heritage and diverse offerings from the moment they arrive.
