Reports reaching our newsroom have confirmed an attempted robbery at the 2024 Leverick Poker Run.
It is alleged that gunmen attempted the robbery shortly after 12noon today Sunday May 26th as patrons from across the Virgin Islands were enjoying the annual event.
Circumstances surrounding the happenings which are still presently unfolding, alleged that a gunman is still on the premises.
In an attempt to seek safety workers are believed to be locked in a room. At the time of publication no injuries were reported however, it is unclear if anyone remains in imminent danger.
Police are presently on the scene. More to come as the story develops.
