BVI Electricity Corporation (BVIEC) is making significant strides in restoring power to areas affected by Tropical Storm Ernesto, with the General Manager, Dr. Neil Smith, expressing confidence that electricity will be fully restored across the territory by the end of this week.
In a recent interview with local media, Dr. Smith provided an update on the progress made so far in restoring electricity to homes and businesses.
Dr. Smith also urged residents to report any ongoing outages through the BVIEC hotline at 852-4600.
In addition to the restoration efforts in the BVI, Dr. Smith confirmed that the linesmen who had been dispatched to assist with recovery efforts in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have returned and are now contributing to the local restoration efforts.
Dr. Smith took a moment to commend his team, praising their dedication and skill, noting that he believes BVIEC has the most skilled and dedicated linesmen in the Eastern Caribbean.
