Naomi Onwufuju, the British Virgin Islands’ representative who held the title of CTO’s Junior Minister for Tourism 2023, recently presented her year-in-review to the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) as her tenure came to a close.
In her presentation, Onwufuju highlighted the valuable experiences and insights she gained during her year-long role. She emphasized how the position allowed her to delve deeper into various key industries that contribute to the BVI’s tourism product.
The outgoing Junior Minister stressed that her time in the role has instilled in her a renewed passion for community service and a stronger connection to her roots.
Expressing gratitude to those who supported her throughout her tenure, Onwufuju also took the opportunity to offer words of encouragement to the incoming 2024 cohort of junior tourism ministers.
