EMPLOYERS REQUIRED TO POST ALL JOB OPENINGS IN NEW LABOUR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

In an effort to promote transparency in the hiring process and boost local employment, the Department of Labour and Workforce Development mandates that all employers post available job openings on its recently implemented Labour Management System

Speaking at a recent District Three job fair Acting Labour Commissioner Marvin Hastings said the initiative aims to enhance accessibility for local job seekers across the territory while ensuring fair recruitment practices.

He highlighted the system’s benefits for Virgin Islanders.

The online platform, he explained, will allow the department to monitor recruitment processes and ensure that qualified locals are prioritized for open positions.

Hastings encouraged job seekers to register with the Labour Management System to access its benefits, adding that the platform centralizes employment opportunities, making it easier for locals to connect with employers.
