CLOSURES AT RIDGE ROAD, LITTLE DIX, AND MORE EXPECTED TO CAUSE DELAYS

The Ministry of Communications and Works has updated the public on ongoing roadworks and closures across the territory, affecting key thoroughfares. Motorists are advised to plan ahead, as delays and detours are expected.

Minister for Communications and Works the Honourable Kye Rymer provided updates on some areas, giving the public a more detailed overview of what is currently taking place.

A section of road at Fahie Hill remains closed as work continues in that area.

Roadworks began near Prospect Reef on Saturday, including preliminary excavation and demolition for base installation. Drivers should expect delays, but the minister asserted that the road will be passable.

From November 24 to November 29, Little Dix Road—stretching from the East End Community Center to the East End Police Station—will be closed to facilitate demolition and concrete pavement work. Greenland Road via Francis Lettsome Primary School is recommended as an alternate route.

The minister also provided a brief update on works in the sister islands.

Motorists and residents are encouraged to plan their routes in advance to avoid inconveniences caused by the temporary closures.

The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to improving the territory’s road infrastructure and thanked the public for its patience as work progresses.
