13 TALENTED TEENS COMPETE FOR THE COVETED TITLE OF HAYNES SMITH MISS CARIBBEAN TALENTED TEEN

The stage is set for an exciting and unforgettable evening of talent, grace, and Caribbean pride as thirteen exceptional teens from across the region compete for the prestigious Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen title. This year’s highly anticipated event will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Multipurpose Sports Complex in Road Town, Tortola, BVI, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The pageant promises to be an extraordinary celebration of the Caribbean’s most promising young women, who will showcase their exceptional skills in a variety of categories, including performing arts, public speaking, and cultural expression.

Recognised as one of the region’s most prestigious and respected competitions, the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen pageant serves as a platform for young Caribbean talent to shine and contribute to their communities.

A First for the Virgin Islands This year marks a historic moment as the event is held outside of St. Kitts, thanks to a unique collaboration between the Miss Teen BVI committee and the Haynes Smith Youth Club. “We are incredibly excited to bring this event to the Virgin Islands and highlight the immense potential of our destination as a host country,” said Rupert Vanterpool Jr. Chairman of Miss Teen BVI and one of the event’s organizers. “This pageant will be a celebration of creativity, culture, and inspiration that will leave a lasting impression on both contestants and audiences.”

The 2024 edition of the pageant will feature an enhanced stage production and a VIP experience for attendees. Mr. Vanterpool shared his excitement about the contestants’ immersive cultural journey in the Virgin Islands, saying, “The young women will arrive on Christmas Day and stay in the Territory until after the pageant. Their itinerary will be filled with cultural tours, visits to our sister islands, and meaningful interactions with cultural stalwarts and dignitaries. On pageant night, the contestants will compete in three exciting segments: talent, theatrical performance, and evening wear.”

Members of the public will have the opportunity to meet and interact with the contestants at two pre-events. Welcome and Sashing Ceremony on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Myett’s Cane Garden Bay at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for this event are priced at $60. The Governor’s Ball will follow on Friday, December 27, at the Governor’s House at 7:00 p.m. Tickets for this event are price $100. There are discounted packages for person interested in attending all three events.

Regional Support and Excitement Hundreds of supporters from across the region are expected to travel to the Virgin Islands to cheer on their contestants, including large delegations from St. Kitts and Nevis and the United States Virgin Islands. To accommodate visitors, special discounted accommodations are available at Maria’s by the Sea Hotel and the Treasure Isle Hotel.
