NEW TOURISM BILL TO PROVIDE SUPPORT NEEDED TO BOOST INDUSTRY

His Excellency Governor Daniel Pruce made the announcement that in 2025 the Government of the Virgin Islands will implement a Ministry of Tourism Bill which will seek to streamline the way the tourism industry operates in the BVI.

In his Speech from the Throne on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, he highlighted what the legislation would look like, which includes the repealing of the Festival and Fairs Act which will be replaced by the Festivals and Events Bill.

Governor Pruce also spoke on the role of the Festival and Events Board and how the bill will streamline festival operations.
