As part of the H. Lavity Stout Community College 35th anniversary celebrations, stakeholders from across the Virgin Islands joined to celebrate and observe Founders Day, a celebration of the founding fathers of the institution.

Chairman of the Institution Professor Emeritus Dr. Author Richardson spoke on the rich history of the institution and its role in BVI society.
Premier of the Virgin Islands Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley also addressed the gathering speaking on the legacy on the late Hon. Lavity Stoutt to whom the college is named in honour.
