Ag COP PLEDGES TO “LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED” IN SOLVING FIRST MURDER OF 2025

Acting Commissioner of Police Jacqueline Vanterpool has assured the family of 20-year-old Quentin Noel, the victim of the BVI’s first murder of 2025, that the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) will “leave no stone unturned” in their pursuit of justice.

Noel was fatally shot near his home in Purcell Estate just before 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday. According to Vanterpool, preliminary evidence suggests he was riding a scooter when he was attacked and shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor.

Earlier in the day, Acting Commissioner Vanterpool visited Noel’s grieving family to offer condolences on behalf of the RVIPF and pledged her unwavering commitment to solving the crime.

“I expressed to the family our deepest sympathies and assured them that we will do everything in our power to bring those responsible to justice,” Vanterpool said.

The Commissioner emphasized the importance of community support during this difficult time, urging friends and neighbors to provide assistance to Noel’s family.

“The BVI is a caring community, and I ask friends and neighbours of the family to lend your support and prayers,” she said.

Vanterpool called on anyone with information about the crime to come forward, stressing the critical role of public cooperation in solving such cases.

“If you have any details, no matter how small they may seem, please contact the RVIPF at 311 or anonymously reach out to Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (8477),” she urged.

The RVIPF remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring public safety and addressing violent crime in the territory. Further updates on the investigation will be provided as new information emerges.
