The two-day Tourism which concluded last week has been hailed a success and a step in the right direction.
Some 160 stakeholders joined in the summit which featured local, regional and international speakers. The first of its kind has been hailed by Junior Minister of Tourism Hon. Luce Hodge-Smith as a catalyst for the industry.
Mrs. Sharon Flax Brutus of the BVI Hotel and Tourism association recapped the event speaking on what needs to be done next.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism Mr. Joseph Smith-Abbott also outlined steps to follow the summit such as policy implementation and legislation.
Director and Deputy Director of the BVI Tourist Board Clive McCoy and Natasha Chalwell addressed the impact the summit will have on the industry and its stakeholders.
